Commercial disputes involving Mexican counterparties
We assess contracts, invoices, communications, payments and enforceable obligations. Where appropriate, our work can include formal demands, negotiated settlements, litigation and analysis of interim relief.
Real estate transactions and developer disputes
Foreign purchasers may face delayed deliveries, uncompleted deeds, changes to project terms or refund disputes. The appropriate response depends on the agreement, evidence, property status and available remedies.
Precautionary relief and recovery
Obtaining a favorable judgment does not necessarily mean collecting. We distinguish legal entitlement, procedural relief and actual enforcement. Precautionary remedies must satisfy applicable legal requirements and may remain subject to execution and challenge.
How engagements begin
We review the relevant facts and documents, identify applicable procedural and jurisdictional constraints, and explain the potential courses of action and their commercial implications. We handle matters in English and Spanish from Guadalajara, working with external local counsel when necessary.
